Connect Gotify
- Create an application for Kaneo on your Gotify server and copy its application token. Use an application token for publishing, as described in Gotify’s push-message guide.
- Open Settings → Account → Notifications in Kaneo and find Gotify.
- Enter the base URL, such as
https://gotify.example.com. Leave off/messageand token query parameters; Kaneo adds them when sending. - Paste the application token, enable the channel, and choose Connect Gotify.
Choose what reaches Gotify
Enable your event categories at the top of the page. Add an active workspace rule, enable Gotify on it, and choose all projects or specific ones. Save the rule. Ask a teammate to assign a test task to you in one of those projects. Confirm it appears in your Kaneo inbox and Gotify. Your own task changes may not create a notification for you.Change or disconnect
Enter a new application token and choose Save changes to rotate credentials. An empty token field preserves the saved token. Disconnect removes the server URL and token from Kaneo. Revoke the application token in Gotify if nothing else uses it. If you disable the channel and later enable it again, review its workspace rules before resuming use.Self-hosting requirements and troubleshooting
The Kaneo API must be able to reach your notification server. Private network destinations require the operator to enableKANEO_ALLOW_PRIVATE_WEBHOOK_DESTINATIONS. To save a token, the API also needs a stable NOTIFICATION_SECRET_ENCRYPTION_KEY; see notification server settings.
If a notification stays in the inbox but is not delivered, check the channel, workspace rule, project selection, and destination credentials. If it never reaches the inbox, check your event preferences and whether that action should notify your account. See Notifications for the full flow.
